About the Speaker: Rory Thomas

Rory T. Thomas serves as the President of the Memphis Medical District Collaborative, a community development organization working with the area’s anchor institutions – major healthcare and educational institutions – to revitalize and create a more vibrant, prosperous and equitable Medical District. These anchor institutions collectively represent over 25,000 employees, 8,000 students and 350 acres of property.

Rory previously served as the executive director of the Tennessee Small Business Development Center at Southwest Tennessee Community College. He holds a BSBA in Finance and an MBA from Christian Brothers University, and a second Masters in Management from University of Phoenix. Rory has been named to the Memphis Business Journal’s “Power 100” list of the most influential people in Memphis business the past four years. Rory currently serves on New Memphis Board of Governors, Porter-Leath Board of Trustees, Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital National Leadership Council and Christian Brothers University School of Business Advisory Board.
